Family owned and operated Apex General Contracting was originally established in 2006 by owner Jim Stringham with the help of his dad (also named Jim). During the early years, the company had satellite offices in places such as St. Louis, MO; Clarksville, TN; and in both Houston and Austin, TX. His mother helped with the paperwork operating out of the family’s basement. Jim was born and raised in northern Illinois and is raising his family there so in 2010 to better oversee operations, manage paperwork and keep in better touch with its customers a 1500 sq ft corporate office was established in South Beloit, IL . Although Jim still needs to travel out of town, the corporate office means he can spend much more of his time here with his family. Their two active children, Landen and Berkley, keep Jim and Bridget busy attending baseball and soccer games, dance, and tumbling practice a %tang other corn m unity-and school activities.

Apex has been recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States by both INC 500 and Top 100 Roofing Contractors. Having started in the Midwest, Apex has expanded into a nationwide company having completed over 20,000 projects worth over a hundred million dollars. This necessitated a move to a much larger corporate office. The new office includes a large training room providing an in-house space for ongoing training of all personnel. This expansion aligns with Apex’s business goal and vision created around quality and service. Pride is taken in the use of the most advanced and modern technology to add value to our client’s properties. For better customer service AccuLynx, a web-based customer relation management tool was added to its operation. This tool provides third party storage, integration with Google maps, multi-level profit analysis, efficient supply ordering, and real time connectivity providing sales people up-to-date information on all of the customers and projects.

As a member of the Better Business Bureau, our knowledgeable associates strive to exceed customer’s expectations through the entire construction process. A recipient of OC Platinum and GAF Master Elite awards over the last multiple years along with participation in charity events such a Vets Roll and Wimpy’s Christmas Fund show Apex’s commitment to be a valuable member of the community.
